ABOUT ME

I'm an extremely honest person, and I love thinking. I value integrity and intelligence. At the moment I'm studying maths because I really love it! However, I also like travelling and have a little bit of international experience: I've lived most of my life in Finland, then completed IB there (so I can speak English very well) and moved to Bath, UK, to study mathematics at Bath University. I like meeting new people from other cultures and seeing new countries. I immensely enjoy seeing new beautiful landscapes or buildings. I also like hiking and spending time in the wilderness and at the beach.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't have any "great", "overarching" personal philosophy. I do think about philosophy, though.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I'm just a newbie. I'm hoping to travel a little and see new people. Perhaps later, when I feel comfortable about it and have time, I can try being a host, too. Only time will tell.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2 so far. Both have been great experiences. Maybe I should always travel like this (couchsurfing)...

Interests

Mathematics, science, travelling & sightseeing, delicious food (current favourite: Chicken Tikka), beautiful landscapes, hiking, movies, science fiction novels.

Movies (and tv-series): Star Wars movies, Andromeda (tv-series), SG1 (tv-series), Books: A Brave New World (Aldous Huxley)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked the Samaria gorge in Crete from Omalos to the coast AND back the same day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share (if you are able to benefit from these and are interested): some curious fact about mathematics or how to make a simple program in java, my experiences in Finland and Bath, instructions on how to make a simple but delicious chicken Tikka sandwhich.

I'd like to learn: a little bit of local language (like Italian or French, depending on where I'm travelling)
