ABOUT ME

hi.

my name is christian and i study in berlin right now (american studies MA with a focus on culture and politics).
i love to draw (especially comics) and photography. and for both things it is great to see new places and meet new people to get ideas.

i'm also a total film freak (lost in translation and oldboy are my favorites) and love to go jogging.
well .... i don't really know what else i should write, so i leave it with that and come back to it later ...

PHILOSOPHY

Live every moment of your live as if there is an elephant above you. if he falls you're dead, so live every moment. but luckily he mostly only shits on you so take it with a smile.

i want to travel around as much as possible (next destination: i have to see more of europe) and give people a place for their trips.

i live in berlin and i love this city, so i hope i can host some people and spread some love for berlin ;)

only a little so far. but everyone i met was really nice and i hope to make a lot more couchsurfing experiences.

music: in general i listen to alternative like the kills, fujiya and miyagi, the strokes, cut copy, deichkind, metronomy, jesus and marychain,justice, i heart sharks, bonobo, koop, the clash ...

movies: lost in translation, old boy, chuking express, a serious man, blade runner, sonatine, annie hall, the royal tannenbaums, moonrise kingdom, inception, memento ...

books: 20th century boys, buddha of suburbia, eeeh eeh eeh, richard yates, counterlife, kafka at the shore ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i hiked through the japans suicide forrest and traveled from chicago to vancouver by train (48 hours without sleep). i was in a bar fight in new york and partied in tokyo's red-light district (robongi). but i guess my coolest experience was eating miso ramen on top of mount fuji and watching the sunrise.
