COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Enjoyed every moment of it while being hosted and eager to give the same joy to everyone who wants to come.

Interests

Methodical broadening of the perspective. Kitchen talks over unresolvable philosophical problems. Theories of everything and theories of something in particular.

At a more particularistic level, Movies: some Russians (Takovsky, Soloviev, German, Sokurov, Muratova, and, of course, Loban) and our foreign friends (Bertolucci, Antonioni, Herzog, von Trier, Aranofsky, Kusturica); Music: some Russians (Aquarium, Splean, Venya D'rkin, Chizh, Arefieva, Zakhar Mai) and our foreign friends (Regina Spektor, Alina Orlova, The Dresden Dolls, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hiromi Uehara, Santa Diver, Portishead, Radiohead, TV on the Radio, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Patti Smith, etc.); Books: some Russians (Dostoyevsky, Dovlatov, Brodsky) and our foreign friends (Vonnegut, Vian, Pavic).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have survived in a 6-months-long-muddy-cloudy-and-dark Saint-Petersburg November... many times :) And I escaped its alluring nature, by trading it to Eastern European prolonged fall.
