About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To change.

ABOUT ME

Cześć, my name is Tomek Darda and I work as a professional tour leader. As I don’t really like talking about myself I will use a quotation. That is what my friend once wrote after knowing me for some time:

Dardaism (from Polish Darda) is an antonym of pessimism. The philosophy of life pioneered by Tomek Darda, well-known Krakovian optimist. Dardaism features positive approach to life and unstoppable happiness from every aspect of everyday life. The Dardaists love the encircling world, they see it as friendly and colourful. They value the good and kindness received from other people. They also try to appreciate the non-positive things that happen to them. They feel good both amongst the nature and in the midst of the city bustle. They dedicate the majority of their time to their three major (amongst others) passions: music, history and languages.

Apart from that I’m a tour guide and I’m not only going to treat you with a few tasty bites of Kraków’s, Poland’s and Europe’s complex history but also hopefully I’m going to infect you with optimism and passion for life with a pinch of melancholy. I see Kraków as so much more than just beautifully (and sometimes not so beautifully) shaped stones upon stones. This city truly is my soulmate and I will prove it can also be yours.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm still in love with Kraków. It is the bond you cannot break.

But If I had to pick up something I'd say that Crimea/Krym is heaven on Earth. That variety - monuments dating back to the ancient times, representing some 5 or more distinct cultures, sea and mountains, mysterious atmosphere and the people! And all of it is something like a big improvisation. Wow.
