We are two young travellers, Tom and Lauren, who have recently finished our university studies and are now exploring the world! We have already spent the last 3 months travelling across South-east Asia, and are now set to head out to South America for the next 9 months.
We love experiencing new places, meeting new people and trying new things!

Somos dos viajeros jóvenes, llamados Tom y Lauren, a quienes acaban de completar los estudios de universidad. Ya llevamos trés meses viajando por Asia del sur-este y ahora mísmo la próxima destinación es America del sur, ¡donde nos quedaremos durante los próximos nueve meses!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We would love the opportunity to meet local people from all over South America and to practice our languages with them! We have both studied aspects of Latin American history and culture and would love the chance to learn more about it with the people who know best, the natives!

Nos encantaría la oportunidad de conocer a gente nativa de America del sur, y de practicar con ellos el español. Nosotros dos hemos estudiado aspectos de la historia y cultura de America Latina y, por eso, nos encantaría el chance de aprender más de los que saben lo más, los nativos!

We are both interested in travelling (of course), as well as language, history, music and food!

All types of music but a preference for rock; Rolling Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who, Oasis, The Libertines, The Rifles etc.

Movies; anything from Kubrick, Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Coen Brothers, Scorsese.

Books; currently reading Richard Flannagan's "The Narrow Road to the Deep North" which is great. I like crime fiction such as Le Carre, Raymond Chandler etc, but I also enjoy any sort of classic literature.
