About Me

Hi! I'm currently attending grad school at Columbia studying public health. I am super open to diversity, in all spectrums. I am a very progressive/ liberal person.

I am a very open minded, kind, gay, and down to Earth guy. I love meeting new people, going on adventures, biking, camping, and rock climbing. I enjoy all kinds of music, foods, cultures, and languages.

I enjoy fitness, yoga, health, and meditation. I do not drink or smoke - I live a sober lifestyle. Also, if I eat meat I like to make sure the animal is ethically raised. I respect others' choices and hope you would of me as well.

I am passionate about philosophy, morality, and intellect! I enjoy a good conversation but that doesn't mean everyone has to be a dork like myself haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people, making friends, getting to know locals, and making the most of my experiences when traveling to a new place.

Music, Movies, and Books

From classical and ambient to electronic, I try to admire all musical talent. My favorite artists include One Republic, Coldplay, and The Script.

I love literature. With my hectic schedule, I use Audible to get through most of the books in my library. From science fiction, thrillers, to motivational reads I try to diversify myself in my literature! I want to be a polyglot so sometimes I will pick up a book in Spanish or Portuguese (or listen to one on Audible).

My favorite movies is Cloud Atlas- you can see all the quotes from the movie below, ha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I worked at the Florida Department of Health, I uncovered a salmonella outbreak in a daycare center! This may not be as glamorous as an exotic 5-week solo expedition in the Amazon or Tundra... but I think it's pretty cool, haha.

Teach, Learn, Share

“My life amounts to no more than one drop in a limitless ocean. Yet what is any ocean, but a multitude of drops?”

“Our lives are not our own. We are bound to others, past and present, and by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.”

“Belief, like fear or love, is a force to be understood as we understand the theory of relativity and principals of uncertainty. Phenomena that determine the course of our lives. Yesterday, my life was headed in one direction. Today, it is headed in another. Yesterday, I believe I would never have done what I did today. These forces that often remake time and space, that can shape and alter who we imagine ourselves to be, begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. Our lives and our choices, like quantum trajectories, are understood moment to moment. That each point of intersection, each encounter, suggest a new potential direction.”
― David Mitchell, Cloud Atlas

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like most surfers, I can share my experiences as well as my love for the world. I can help with cooking, cleaning, chores etc. I'd like to treat my host with some gift either from my city, or a dinner.
