I grew up in Minnesota and have not yet left North America. I have set foot into Canada a few times. Once on the way to Alaska. Once to the New England states and I have set foot and paddled there a few times journeying in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

My sister, Diane, has been traveling the world a bit over the past few years and has recommended me to couchsurfing because I am planning a trip to Europe November 2016. She tells me that it is a great way to meet local people that can show you around and hang out with.

I have listened to a lot of rock, however I am starting to get into some new music scenes. On the radio I listen to a local music station and a station that does a good dance mix. I mainly like those two stations because of the lack of commercials on them

In my opinion, the most amazing thing that I have done was get my degree in Civil Engineering.

I started learning about life as a cub scout. Through the scouts I learned an appreciation for the environment and developed a curiosity about the world around me. I got my civil engineering degree and am now doing a business startup in Biochar.
Biochar has many uses. It reduces Waste size and weight, it creates energy in several ways, it is carbon negative, it is a soil amendment used for crop production and used in water/air remediation.

I am a good cook and would like some ideas and direction on preparing local dishes. I have 15 years experience cooking in restaurants of many styles. I am best at Mexican, American, Italian, Pizza and Vegetarian, but I can really cook anything. I always keep a tidy kitchen too.
