Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm currently living and studying in Liverpool in the UK. I am a philosophy student and I work part time as a bartender. In 2015-16 I spent about a year travelling through India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Philippines, Bali and Australia couchsurfing from time to time and otherwise staying in hostels or in workaway/helpx placements. I had some incredible experiences in that year, came across some of the best people I've ever met and made a few great friends. Most of the people I have written references for or have stayed with on this website I met during that time. Planning to keep travelling in the future and I have a growing list of countries I'm desperate to visit.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I just want to meet people, make friends and have a great time. I like meeting people from totally different places and cultures to my own, I know it's not exactly original but I really do think hanging out with people from wherever you're visiting is so much better than spending the whole time surrounded by other tourists.
Throughout my travels I've found the places that I've enjoyed visiting the most have been those where I either met a really great group of travellers or was able to be properly introduced by a local who gave me a real taste of their home. I really like spending time with people who can introduce me to a different way of life or present me with a different way of thinking. Or failing that I'm down for just a few beers and a chat about Game of Thrones!
Intereses
Defintely not filling out annoying repetitve forms about my personality...
I find most things interesting. I like talking about science, philosophy, politics and all the sort of stuff that starts as a quirky little new topic of conversation and ends with two good friends red in the face and screaming at each other to 'LET ME FINISH MY POINT!'
Or on the lighter side, let's chat about films or TV shows. I've invested a lot of time and hard work into watching netflix when I really should have been doing other things so I feel like I should probably put all that stuff in my brain to some kind of use!
I've always liked listening to music just like the next guy but have recently it's become a much bigger part of my life. I have started to get much more deeply interested in guitars and guitar music, if you're really persuasive I might even play you something.

Música, películas y libros
I (like pretty much everyone I think) don't really just listen to one genre of music so these are always kinda tricky. I do have certain favourites and things I don't like but that's a conversation we can have in person. Mostly into acoustic guitar driven singer-songwriter types right now but also like old rock, a bit of hip hop and shamefully pop (when I'm not feeling too pretentious).
Again I like all kinds of movies and I'm a big fan of comedy bit my top films are along the lines of Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, Fight club, Blood diamond, The Dark Knight I could go on. I saw the film 'Room' the other day too and think it might've been my favourite ever so there's that! (Room, not The Room btw! - though I've always got time for The Room of course!!)
I'm a big fan of English stand-up and silly English sit coms like the inbetweeners and the IT crowd. I've also really enjoyed Flight of the Conchords, 24, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, House of Cards ... and basically most of the Netflix catalogue (wasn't busy a couple of years back!!)
In terms of books I'd say that about 90% of my world views were summed up at one point or another by Douglas Adams in The Hitchhikers Guide Quilogy. Special mentions also go to the Great Gatsby and The God Delusion (that one's gonna cost me a few responses!).
