Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe it is a great way to truly get to know other cultures when traveling. Additionally, I'm using this platform because I want to bring my own culture and experiences to other people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15, I went on a 3 week school exchange to Canada. On one of the days we went whalewatching in Tofino, BC. At first, nothing really happened and everybody was sort of diappointed because all we got to see was a seal. About halfway through the tour gray whales showed up! The tourguide stopped the boat engine and we took some pictures. All the sudden we felt something lift our boat and a few seconds later, a whale showed up right in front of us. It kept rubbing its back on the boat and we were able to feel its skin.
That was probably a pretty amazing experience!
