Overview
About Me
I was born in Israel in '87, like most Israelis I did my military service when I was 18 (the 3 mandatory years), but unlike most Israelis I did not did my 'after military world trip' - which is usually a 6 month plus trip to India/South America/Thailand. Instead I started working and learning immediatly. But is it turns out I found something better. In october 2015 I flew to Paris to a 6 month long program as a Hebrew language assistant in a high school in Versaille (at the time of writing these lines I still am - but this is my last week). And now I can safely say that the guys who go to Thailand for 6 month got nothing on me :-) (no disrespect, but it's true)
This project was my first time living outside my country, I got to know the French culture from up close, some of it I liked, some of it I liked less and some I wish had existed in Israel as well.
I'm a dog person, and I have 2 of my own. I like animals in general, I wish someday I'll be able to have horse - I took some riding lessons not so long ago and I really just like being around them. I don't ever see myself living too long without animals at my side.
I'm a computer type of guy, I always have been. I was 9 years old the first time I opened a computer and figured out where each part goes and how everything is connected. I'm a big fan of open source software and I'm proud to say that my current laptop has never had Windows installed on it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have no idea! It's the first time I'm trying it and I'm scared and excited at the same time. I want to meet new people from all over, and I'm hoping I could open my house for surfers when I get back.
Interests
As I said, I'm a computer kind of guy. Open source stuff, building web widgets\apps, etc.
Learning new languages. I'm learning French for the past 3 years and I guess I could say I'm speaking semi-fluently, and I'm planning on starting Arabic soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm weird in this catagory, it's hard to describe. I started with rock during my youth - from Deep Purple (which I picked up from my dad at a very young age) to more current artists like Linkin Park, Disturbed, Cold, Stained, Audio Slave and more of the kind. I then started broadening my musical horizens and started listening to Lindsey Striling, OK GO, Arctic Monkeys and more artists that really have nothing in common and I can't say exactly why I like them, but I do.
Movies: Here are my TOP 10, not in any particular order: Amelie from Montmartre, Attack the Block, Fight Club, Hanna, Memento, Snatch, Snowpiercer, The Hangover, The Matrix, The Cabin in the Woods.
Each of these 10 movies have been really thought of before I put it in the list.
Books: I'll be honest, not really a book guy, didn't read that many books in my life. But here are the ones I really liked:
Dune + it's 2 sequesls, Veronica decides to die, The Fault in our Stars, The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.
