About Me

I had planned to go on a road trip round with my now ex-girlfriend. But she's now my ex. So I thought, why not just go alone. So that's what I'm doing. I'll be starting in Malmö, Sweden. Go through Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Bordeaux, along the riviera into Italy. Venice and then head back through Germany (and perhaps Switzerland).

I'm not going to plan too much. Just do whatever seems fun at the time.

I like sweaty techno parties. I like going to Burner events. I like architecture. I like art. I really really like art. I paint. I like robots. My favourite club in the whole world is Kit Kat Club in Berlin. Yoga and just working out in general. Oh, yeah... almost forgot the most important thing.... I like travelling and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When travelling there's nothing more valuable than getting to pick the brains of a local. Coachsurfing is fantastic for that.

When hosting I find it very rewarding to help travellers along on their journeys. Everything that is hard about travelling is so easy for a local to sort out. So why not?

Best movie is 2001 by Kubrick.

Best book is anything by Kurt Vonnegut. Allthough George Saunders has a proud second place

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once scraped a Cambodian motorcyclist off the road and took him to the local hospital. This was deep in the sticks. It turned out that the motorcyclist was poor and uninsured. So I paid for it. I was a poor student back then. I think this is the most heroic and generous thing I've ever done. I had to travel on before he became conscious. So I have no idea if bringing him in did any good.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm social, entertaining and fun. That's got to count for something? I like to party and relax.

I can fix your computer :) I am a computer engineer after all.

I can share a bottle of wine, and I can cook. I was once a chef.
