Overview
About Me
I'm curious about everything from my personal interests in politics and philosophy; general history; ecology and nature to fields that I have less knowledge of. The world is an amazing place, and thus should be explored at home and abroad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I prefer to get to know a place from the perspective of a local rather than a tourist. While I am interested by a city's well-known attractions (they are popular normally for a reason), I also want to experience real everyday life in places that I am new to; because I could end up being a local in that place one day myself!
Interests
being on a bicycle and not being in a car, trekking in the mountains, fly fishing, skiing, gardening and generally playing in the dirt, eating delicious food, drinking coffee in the mornings and beer in the afternoons, reading nonfiction, writing in my thought journal, tossing a frisbee

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stayed with national park rangers on the summer solstice in Denali National Park in Alaska after having a terrifying grizzly experience, so that was a cool ending.
