I am a traveller for history and people. I really enjoy talking to people about the region in which they live and how the history has shaped it today. As a geologist I of course always enjoy hiking and exploring the surrounding landscape if possible. I am always keen to help and enjoy learning how to cook whatever is local!

I use Couchsurfing to find people with different or new experiences, upbringing and perspective. I try to expand my horizons by learning about other people's.
Couchsurfing is a great way of seeing a new place in a unique light that many people never get to experience.

兴趣

Geology will always be a big interest but at the moment I am spending a lot of time desperately trying to improve my Russian. It has been a lot of fun but also quite intimidating with a lot of time out of my comfort zone.
I am also a sports fan and will watch most things with someone who can help me understand if it is a new sport to me. New Zealand heritage means rugby is never too far away. Unfortunately I had to stop playing it when the other guys got too big around age 14.
The history of places I visit is very important to me. Nothing fully makes sense until you understand where it came from.

I have typically been into a lot of classic rock but in the last few years I have got massively into dance and trance. The Above and Beyond podcasts have been my sound track to many long bus/ train journeys.
