About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do. More. Stuff.

ABOUT ME

Oh man. ALL about me!?! I'm pretty straightforward, I guess, in a confusing sort of way. I like people most of the time, except when I don't -- and in those rare cases, it's really only personal. Books, yes. Games, yes. Adventures, yes. Sitting around in the desert doing nothing? Notsomuch. I'm up for almost anything at least once.

PHILOSOPHY

I left this box blank for a long time, if only because -- if I have a personal philosophy, it's terrible to define. It definitely has to do with thinking and also being nice to people and absorbing culture without losing track of yourself, but also remembering that you are inseparable from all the community around you. Maybe?
I like talking about it, whatever it is.

Interests

Adventuring of all kinds, as the opportunity presents itself. Napping in public. Reading. Any day I learn something new is a good day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: The Little Prince. Brothers Karamazov. A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Death Comes for the Archbishop. The Phantom Tollbooth.

Music: As long as it doesn't twang and talk about trucks, I'm happy.

Movies: The Emperor's New Groove. Remember the Titans. Star Wars. Perks of Being a Wallflower. Time Bandits.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a spur-of-the-moment trip with some friends to the Grand Canyon in November before leaving AZ, drove north out of the desert and through a blizzard to get there, couldn't see a thing. Woke up early to hike anyway, and saw absolutely nothing until we hiked below the fog level. We watched the canyon's colors appear and disappear behind the mist the whole way down, snow underfoot and ground above.
