CURRENT MISSION

After working 19 years at SAP on the www.SAP.com team I decided to leave and take some time to plan and adjust the trajectory of my life. With the unique situation I'm in -- no job, no family, no financial stress...at least for a little while -- I've got a surplus of free time. I'm using it to focus on my fitness + health, advance my cooking skills, exercise my photography muscles, immerse myself in the startup scene, and explore the world a lot more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm so curious what goes on in other parts of the world -- what's the vibe there, what's daily life like there, what's "normal" there that wouldn't be elsewhere, what's there to eat that's special, etc.

But even more fascinating to me is the people that live there -- what's on their minds, what are their opinions/philosophies, what's their outlook on life.

I love meeting new people and trading stories, sharing our experiences, our greatest fuck-ups and triumphs.

Interests

EATING. Let's get that out of the way first. I'm a 300kg man trapped in a 175kg body.

Truthfully, everything else is secondary but I guess I should write more...you know, to make me seem well-rounded and *interesting*...

Photography. I've been shooting for over 16 years now, mostly travel photography, but now I dig street photography and candid portraits. If we meet, I'm probably going to take a picture of you.

Reading. Novels, long-form and short articles. The stuff that I save to Pocket is all over the place, from hard science to sociology to self-improvement to comedy. Cracked.com.
