Overview
About Me
Hello, my name’s Tom, and I’m originally from the North East of England but currently living in London. Mainly finding time to travel on long weekends now that the good old uni days are behind me. Back on Couchsurfing after an extended break (due to moving countries and then covid) but loved my experiences when I was last on here and looking for more of the same again.
Open minded, rather spontaneous (may be searching for hosts at late notice after impulsive travel plans) and almost always up for an adventure. I’m a big fan of hiking/cycling/anything outdoorsy, photography, sports (football especially) and trying local foods/drinks.
Happy to be social but equally comfortable in my own company so never any pressure to play guide - just be direct :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Predominantly as a new way of meeting interesting people who can share time together and give tips on niche things to do, but also to feel like I'm travelling when I'm still in my home city.

Music, Movies, and Books
Somewhat eclectic music taste. Anything goes. Top listens range from Metallica/Tool/Audioslave through to Agnes Obel/Ludovico Einaudi with a bit of Nick Mulvey/Bon Iver to boot.
Movies: Good Will Hunting and Rainman, two absolute classics that I can’t pick between. Shout out to Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Currently reading: Power of Geography - Tim Marshall

Teach, Learn, Share
Always seeking to improve Spanish, French and German language skills, which are rapidly fading after stopping studying a few years ago.
Anyone who's into photography, would love to hear your experiences and share tips!
Very happy to show people around my local area if they're lucky enough to find themselves in sunny England and can occasionally host now I’ve got my own flat in London.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Travel stories over a few beverages, dog walking skills and a helping hand in the kitchen.
