About Me

Hey everyone! I'm a mechanical engineering student studying at The Ohio State University. I love to learn new things, whether in school or in the world! I tend to be a little shy at first, but it doesn't take long to unlock my inner extrovert!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy learning about different cultures, customs, and beliefs. I explored Germany for the summer, and really enjoyed the people that I met. I am working as a research assistant at OSU, and I'm trying to experience the most while I'm young :)

Interests

I ran cross country for 6 years total throughout middle school and high school, and I bet you won't believe me once you see me. I enjoy playing basketball (when I'm in shape). In recent years, I have been getting involved with lifting, and this past year I took a couple dance classes, and really enjoyed them.

My newest interest is photography. I purchased a DSLR camera for my trip to Europe, and I have really enjoyed the junction between technology and art that photography allows.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books and movies that have an deep meaning. The word, "Allegory" comes to mind. Musically, I've been playing drums for several years, and I'm trying to teach myself piano. So, depending on my mood, I like classical, alternative, and sometimes even electronic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in high school, I was given the opportunity to tutor an elementary school student with special needs. She was in 3rd grade, reading at a first grade level, and I was able to get her up to a fourth grade level by the time she finished 3rd grade. While I didn't get a shiny award, I thought it was really fulfilling to make such a positive impact in someone's life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Over the past couple of months, I've tried to visit as many countries as possible. Unfortunately, I have to work during the week, so I am limited to weekend travel. Still, I have some funny and interesting stories to share!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook! Although I'm always interested in learning new recipes and styles :)
