ABOUT ME

How am I not myself?

I'm hoping to use couchsurfing to meet some new people and to expedite my travels. I'd prefer to not look like a tourist, so I usually avoid tourist places. On my upcoming trip to Guatemala, I'm thinking about not even packing a bag and just buying everything i might need when I get there so that I can 1.) be packed super light and 2.) have everything I own look local.

I want to learn to dance; somebody teach me?

PHILOSOPHY

Buddhist but without a lot of the metaphysical beliefs. Also heavily influenced by Nietzsche.

Interests

Outer space, space colonization, traveling to Mars, asteroid mining, electronics...nerdy stuff.

Super food-motivated like probably everyone else. I'll eat literally anything if I know it's edible. Also very music-oriented. Generally I like things that are quirky / weird / strange / dark / avant-garde.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wreck diving in Malaysia at night -- we saw schools of bioluminescent fish darting in and out of the wreckage as well as a purple pygmy seahorse (probably about one inch tall!) hanging out in a coral fan. Gorgeous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could probably give you a crash course in C++. I taught a friend some Thai before his trip to Thailand. I make a decent amount of Thai and Indian food, I could maybe show you how to make something.
