About Me

Hi, I am Tom. I come from a little lovely country in the hearth of Europe, from the Czech Rep. Have you heard of Prague? Yeah, I am not from there, but Havířov, is also somehow sweet. We´ve got a lot of coal and trees, actually it is like a kind of the District 12, just with some extra food. Nevertheless, I live rather in other European countries in the last years due to my studies.

As a student, I enjoy these years of independence and the great possibilities that my generation has. This means for me especially: to learn, to share and to discover.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of Couchsurfing is amazing. It represents for me the new possibilities of interaction among people that are just fascinating in the digital era.

Interests

I´ve got maybe too many interests. For making it easier for you, just briefly:

I love: cooking, languages, cats and meerkats, traveling, sleeping, history, sun and high temperatures, cinematography, politics, cheese and vegetable of all sorts, classical art, walking.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a little bit embarrassing for me, but I actually don´t know much about music. Ask me about the other arts! Movies and books: I am a great fan of science-fiction and fantasy, I would say I have read and seen a good deal of this genre. Otherwise, concerning movies I like everything except of horrors, as my brother forced me to watch The Scream, when I was 7 years old. I couldn´t sleep for a week. I read a lot, I read every day. Which book would you recommend?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Actually, I decided to move to France and to study there, even thought I had never been there before. At the end, everything was fine and I´ve got my degree.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach/learn/share any of our joint interests and passions!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely cook you something great and delicious. Do you like the French, Central European, Mediterranean, Middle East or Asian cuisine? It will be my pleasure.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Spain
