About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel through the world. Learn. Make friends. Test myself.
ABOUT ME
Just want to see the world right now. By foot, bike, bus, boat, canoe, and even plane (if I have to). Nothing is going to stop me, but me. I'm interested in every culture and all they entail: food, drink, music, people, languages, housing, history, and landscapes. An anthropologist in spirit.
Want to see me in action? A hostel in Mexico, enjoyed my enthusiasm for their city so much that they used me as the actor to promote their city. I love it.:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I missed my flight out of Beijing (at the airport), returned defeated to the city, and then gave couch surfing a try. A stayed with a host for a week, and saw a whole new side of the city, was able to see her life, and meeting her friends. The money a lost on the plane, was no longer a loss at all.
Interests
Bicycling. Walking. climbing. Talking with everyone. Dancing. Swimming. EXPLORING. Very interested in public transportation, parks, and communities. Just trying to figure the world out -- beyond TV and the media -- and meet some people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie music with great lyrics. Hip hop and funk that makes you dance. A whole lot of brass instruments on stage. One Seattle band you might not have heard of is Ravenna Woods or Hot Bodies in Motion. Or the group, The coup. For movies, I like them serious, funny, creative or all out action.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I joined another traveler I'd just met on his journey in a canoe, down the Mississippi river for two weeks. We camped on shore. Stopped to make friends everywhere. Evaded giant barges and heavy wake, missed a near tornado. Then, we coasted into New Orleans and gave up the canoe and supplies in the spirit of Xmas. And set to celebratory drinking.
Teach, Learn, Share
Most early civilizations came up with their own beautiful languages, built their own unique temples, and created defined art -- but, most impressive to me, is that they all figured out how to ferment foods and make alcohols, on their own. Buy a book on fermentation sometime and get to work. Its pretty simple.
