About Me

I'm a high school student from Slovakia, absolutely inexperienced in travelling, but very willing to explore the world.

If you are planning to visit Slovakia (especially Banská Štiavnica), hit me up! I might not be able to host you, but maybe I can show you around.

TO MY POTENTIAL HOSTS:
Please, if you for any reason decline my request (your bad, you don't know what you're missing), take a little time to explain me why you have done so. I'm new here, so maybe I might use a bit of advice on what to do to make myself look more trustworthy :) Thank you

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1. I like the idea of selflessly sharing a piece of one's own comfort with a like-minded person, whichever part of the Earth they come from.
2. I think that it is the best way to explore the destination, as you'll get more accurate, authentic and in depth outlook on the local life.
3. My friends back home are lazy, so having a company, or at least someone to talk to, while abroad is another big advantage.
4. And to be honest, Couchsurfing is also at the moment my only way how to travel without raiding my parents' wallets.

Interests

I'm bad at introducing myself, but I think I'm pretty normal person... Sometimes... Jk

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have like specific taste or something. When I like a song, whether it is punk, pop, rock, rap, classic, or whatever, I listen to it until it annoys me. I don't really watch movies and read books, which is something I'm kinda ashamed of. Anyway, I'm always accepting recommendations on good books, movies and music 😆

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One Thursday, I decided that the following Monday I would go on a three-weeks-long trip with 4 crazy people I had never met before, and had an amazing time (a few rainy and stormy nights under tents, illegal camping on a mountain after an excruciating hike, fireworks upon arrival, swimming in the sea and some lakes, hitchhiking, brushing teeth in McDonald's bathroom (not once), meeting some amazing and welcoming people on the way, getting lost in a Latvian forest, camping in a sailor's garden, tasting local beer brands and so much more...).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Slovak language if you feel like twisting your tongue, or I can tell you something about my country and our culture if you're interested.

I love to learn stuff, anything, anytime. I think that you can always learn something new when meeting new people and going to new places. So I'm always interested in some useful words in your language, some local traditional recipes (though I'm bad at cooking), or a secret hot-spot that's not that touristy, but is worth a visit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you my deepest gratitute and admiration for letting me stay at yours and making me feel like home. Hopefully, soon I will also have some travel stories to tell. I can cook you a bit of Slovak cuisine (if you're brave enough to to let me into your kitchen). And I think that I can hold up a good conversation once I feel comfortable with another person. So if you want to discuss anything from food, through travel, history, politics, science, art to philosophy and meaning of life, I'm up for that. 😉
