ABOUT ME

I'm an outgoing, fun-loving and movie obsessed person, who likes meeting new people and travelling all over the world and visiting film festivals with my (for the moment) short films. I'm a big lover of everything strange, surreal and fantastic.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know if I have a personal philosophy, I try to be the best person I can be and try to accept people around me as they are and hope to bring something positive to the lives of everyone that brings something positive to mine.

I tend to not give up very easily on some things, might have my head a bit in the clouds (my business card says professional dreamer), but I can orderly and responsible too. I'm a bit of a living contradiction at times, but I guess in the end most people are ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking to hopefully find some willing person to take me in while touring the world with my new short film or when I'm travelling abroad. I've found past experiences with couchsurfing always rewarding and hope to continue to be part of the community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've visited France, US and Scotland as a couchsurfer. I've always been rewarded with meeting lovely and interesting people.

Interests

I'm a filmmaker who has been fortunate enough to be able to make his big passion his career as well. Besides that I love to read (I'm a lover of all kind of stories), travel and I'm also a bit of an obsessive moviegoer (but don't hold it against me ;-).

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to mention in terms of movies.

Music-wise I'm a big lover of singer/songwriters a la Cat Stevens, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith, but any genre can please me, from electronic music to film scores.

In terms of books I also love loads of different stuff, Neil Gaiman being one of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- seeing my short film screened at a packed village square in Spain, whilst drinking a rum and pineapple cocktail surrounded by loving festival members, I've never felt as at home as abroad there.

-having my film be nominated for an Oscar and winning the european Oscar (European Film Award) and enjoying the ride that it has given me!

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach to speak Dutch (which you'll only need in Belgium/Holland/Suriname & South Africa) or a little bit of French.
