Hosting in Cambridge, Prague and Beijing, surfing all over Eurasia - both amazingly positive experiences.

Trying to cultivate an interest in everything, but mainly: subway stations, fruit, industrial architecture, experimental music, escalators, 20th century dictators, stand up comedy, languages, microeconomics, librarians, smells, things found on the ground, the solar system. and philosophy (sometimes).

Music: Every genre has something good. At the moment I'm most interested in Chinese music, Jazz and 20th century classical.
Books: I read anything put in front of me, and occasionally stuff put behind me.
Movies: Anything intelligent, or with Dinosaurs.
