About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Don't die in Cayyolu!
ABOUT ME
Tom: I'm outgoing, friendly, and, of course, very modest. Although now in my early 30s, I still find excuses to skateboard and listen to punk rock. I like fancy beer, film, and generally enjoy stirring up trouble. I'm also a lazy vegetarian.
Izzy: I'm 27 and from London. I like music, politics, travelling, pubs and chatting (chatting shit and chatting about important stuff). I can be a bit shy at first, but I'm told once I get going I can swear like a sailor.
PHILOSOPHY
Work as little as possible
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We couch surfed in the USA last year and met some fantastic people.
We're now living back in London for a few months before we embark back to the US for an extended stay. Unfortunately, we're with Izzy's parents at the moment, so hosting isn't really an option.
In the future we want to move to Spain, or if we're feeling extra fruity (by which I mean, if we can get our shit together) we'll go to Central/S. America. Basically go somewhere where the language isn't impossible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've couch surfed with other people a few times, but have yet to host. Though we've had plenty of lefties and union types stay with us, both in the States and in London.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being in Turkey during the 2013 protests was pretty incredible.
New Orleans has so far been the most amazing city we've visited on our travels. If you haven't been there, GO!
Teach, Learn, Share
Izzy: I can play a few different instruments badly and can untie any knot in the world (yet to be defeated). I'd really like to learn the trumpet and Turkish. Maybe in some sort of nightmare-fusion.
Tom: I can talk at length about labor history upon request. I like lifting weights and cycling (although you might not be able to tell either from looking at me...). I like learning obscure facts about anything. Mainly about beer. I like cooking. And eating. Mostly eating.
