About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

PHILOSOPHY

It’s very cliché but I’m trying to really enjoy life to the fullest, which to me means seeing as much of the world as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no formal experience with Couch Surfing. I spent 6 weeks abroad after college and I really wish this site was around back then.

Update 6/09 - I just came back from CS in Denver. I guess I'm no longer a total newbie

Interests

Cooking and photography would be near the top of the list. I also enjoy working out and staying active.

Of course I love exploring new cities (vineyards and breweries included). Iâ

Music, Movies, and Books

I always love discovering new music. My taste varies from old blues and jazz (Muddy Waters, Coltrane, Davis); to classic rock (Stones, Beatles, Dylan); to more modern rock (White Stripes, Tool, Alice in Chains, DMB, old Radiohead); add in some reggae (Tosh, Marley); mix in some old soul (Mayfield, Green), add in some rap, trip hop, Sinatra, Cash, Manu Chao, etc etc.

I love to read when I can get the chance. I read the WSJ. My favorite books of the year so far would be “Bottom Feeder”, “Physics of the Impossible”, “The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight” and “The Body Toxic.” I guess I’ve got a chicken little theme going on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking Europe was amazing. I hiked out of the Grand Canyon by myself. Travel tip (Hermit trail + out of shape, chain smoking friend + 110 degree heat = bad combination)

Costa Rica is also one of my favorite places I've been to

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d be more than happy to share some photo or cooking tips. I can also help if anyone needs to learn boring excel formulas.
