About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hanging out in Mexico until the vaccine is available in US. I'm a tour guide so I'm doing research here while waiting for tours to start again.

ABOUT ME

I am happy and full of life. I love exploring and experiencing new things. In Portland, I lead a MeetUp group that hosts several activities every week. The goal is to create an active, happy community and to share our experiences.

Travel will be more of a time for me to learn and re-charge so that I can bring back what I discover and share with those around me.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to live my life as if this is the only time I have. I want to discover as much as possible and share that with as many people as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Amsterdam and made a lifelong friend there. I also met a nice person in Annecy, France for drinks and have communicated with many other surfers along the way.

I can't host during the summer since my landlord runs the house as an AirBnB, but I'm happy to help with travel ideas or take you on a walking or biking tour of the area.

Interests

Mainly, I just love to walk and explore every little stair, alley, doorway. I also enjoy cycling and inline skating.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read fantasy books (Lord of the Rings, etc...) every night before I go to bed for escape and romance. Otherwise, I enjoy humor and travel writing: Desert Solitaire, Metal Cowboy, Mark Twain.

For music, I enjoy female vocalists from Patsy Cline to Elsianne. Also love 70s and 80s since that is the music of my formative years. Classical strings and even blue grass, but I draw the line at country!

Dead Poet Society and Grand Canyon are two of my favorite movies. I also love Ferris Bueler's Day Off because it's all about going outside the boundaries!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have experienced many amazing things in my travels, but one of the most meaningful is taking 13 people I hardly knew on a 10 day budget tour of Mexico.

What I Can Share with Hosts
