My mum is from New Zealand and people tell me it's a beautiful place, so I figure I may as well spend at least a year of my life there

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because sometimes Tom should stop sleeping outside and find some proper shelter, and a shower.

And company! In travelling solo I always appreciate great company, and I know there's lot of on Couchsurfing!

I've been reading a lot about recently about meditation and spirituality, so I'm always down for philosophical/existential chats. I like to keep open minded about it all too, I'm always keen to hear about traditions I haven't yet studied.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Invited a person I met on the street to sleep on my couch that same night.

A few friends and I decided that summiting an active volcano at 5500m would be a nice idea. A lot was learned that day about the power of nature (we all got back safely thankfully)
