About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Climb more trees, mountains and cliffs, learn French, master the bagpipes, learn to sculpt, endure my first proper winter!

ABOUT ME

After 27 wonderful years in the Blue Mountains and Sydney, Australia, I've made a big jump and moved Grenoble, France, to live for two years and study French, complete a masters in renewable energy stuff, and get to know Europe!

My major passions in life are bush walking/hiking, rock climbing, world music (particularly bagpipes), sustainability, and most of all . . . people!

PHILOSOPHY

Be excellent to one another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted over 30 couch surfers in my old house in Sydney. I've just moved to Grenoble in France and am yet to work out with my new housemates how we can participate, but in the meantime I'm looking for couches to surf!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Whilst living in Newtown with my two partners in crime, Bonnie (of bobsledding and particle physics fame) and Eliza (inventor of the modern broom and the hello kiss (in the same month I might add)), we've hosted quite a few couchsurfers and had some great experiences. A few highlights have been camping trips to the Blue Mountains and the South Coast, late night walks around the beautiful Sydney Harbour and hosting two blokes driving a solar car around the world.
Most of my couchsurfing experience to date has been with people on my housemate's account so they don't show up here.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rock climbing in Honduras and experiencing the incredible kindness and compassion of the locals after I had a particularly nasty fall.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: bagpipes, maths, english, rock climbing
Learn: life, the universe, everything! . . . and French, definitely need to learn French
