About Me

I always say, science is my husband, music is my bitch.

I love jazz music, classical and latin music. Love to dance, especially salsa and bachata (although I am not good at it)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Explore cultures, meet with locals and meet travelers!
I think there's something magical of meeting someone very interesting for just a few days and be able to connect with them :) Gives to very intense, short-term experiences with people.

Interests

Been playing the piano since I was 5. Recently started playing the bass and traveling with it :D I love music, I am constantly looking into new artists and discovering new music, so please share!

Love science, participated in several competitions in high school and been studying biochemistry and comp. sci in college. I have an almost unhealthy addiction to science communication youtube video.

I also am very interested in having talks on topics of life, love, meaning, patriotism, ideology, etc. I just been quite interested in philosophy recently.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music:
Well, like a lot of genres. Been listening to a lot of jazz lately, Snarky Puppy, Esperanza Spalding, Vulfpeck. Don't get me wrong, I also get down with punk, metal, tango, rock.
Favorite Movie:
Uhm tends to change a lot, classics series like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, but also American Psycho, V for Vendetta, Mad Max.
Favorite Book:
LOTR series, as it was the first real series of books I read and I still am in love with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my college experience. Have been living in a different country every year, with 200 amazing, smart and diverse individuals from over 55 countries. Lived in Seoul, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Hyderabad and San Francisco. Soon to be moving to Tel Aviv.

Teach, Learn, Share

Love discussing about philosophy and politics *Warning: my postmodernist, nihilistic view on the world may get you down a bit*

I also am quite the nerd, love Biology and Chemistry, but can talk about any science. I love communicating science concepts in terms that anyone can understand, regardless of previous knowledge. I am very curious, so end up being interested in most topics that are brought up.

I also know a lot of random facts, like why the sky is blue or why the cheerios in your bowl of milk end up sticking together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have some crazy stories, living throughout 5 different countries the past couple of years. I am friends with some crazy, smart people, who tend to be very fun and come up with the weirdest stuff.

I can also share music, I love sharing my music and really take pride in what I listen to.
