About Me

Hi! I am 27 years young, Since age 0 I live in the great city of Prague in Czech rep - it's a little country in central Europe, where beer is cheaper than water and real quality too:), I am currently finishing my master degree in journalism, I am a photographer and graphic designer, love travelling, doing all kinds of sports and meeting creative, inspiring, fun people:) I'd say I am pretty chill respectful person, one thing I'd thank for my parents! I am very bad at telling stories and jokes but I love to do that so get ready for that haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simply to meet some interesting local people or show people around in my home town Prague:) I used to work in a hostel and thought maybe I could be a guide too because I love my city and would like people to know more than just the Charles Bridge, Prague castle or the Old town, these places are nice but boring, you can find them easily on trip advisor. So let's do something local. The tour guide job never happened but I am ready to give private tours or share some tips.

When I am travelling I am hoping for the same:-)

Interests

Many many things, apart from what was said, from sports I like mountainbiking, skiing, surfing (trying to learn), football (soccer) which I played competitively for like 10 years , badminton, climbing (would like to learn - ever since I was a kid tried to climb every tree around but I would like to learn proper climbing), running, golf, pool.

Wouldn't mention travelling, really it's a pleasure of all of us isn't it? But I like to do it my way in a sense that I like to wander around cities and explore some cool cafes, pubs, restaurants, eating some local food, cultural events, concerts. I like to take street pictures, meet people, talk to strangers, see galleries, art and public spaces and buildings (studied architecture for few semesters so expect me to look up and around a lot haha).

I like good food and quality beer and wine too, I am not exactly the young kid anymore trying to get shitfaced on every occassion but if there is a good company and the situation calls for it I can't say no:D

I love dnb step so if you know any places where they play drum and bass, let's go party and dance! As a kid from a big city we used to take classes of classical dance too, not sure if I remember that well but maybe you can remind me and we can dance salsa or whatever:-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Like all kind of music but more alternative i.e. indie, ska, punk, surf rock, psychidelic, drum and bass, chill electro, hiphop, jazz but anything live:) I like making endless playlists on Spotify, I also have a special obsession to try to find some new artists with 500 views and less on Youtube and look for a concert in different cities to take the trip and see the gig haha.

to name few interprets: The Hives, Nine Inch Nails, Enter Shikari, Hadouken, Skeggs, Drunk Mums, Klaxons, Kasabian, The Drums, Dub FX, Dub Pistols, Mindless Self Indulgence, Growlers, Depeche Mode, Falco, Reel Big Fish, The Cat Empire, Mando Diao, Mad Caddies, Zebrahead, Anti-Flag, NOFX, Floggin Molly, Pennywise, A.F.I,,The Subways, Cinnamon Chasers, Tycho, Digitalism, The Crystal Method, Looptroop Rockers, Hilltop Hoods, Drapht, Cypress Hill, Dune Rats, Calyx &Teebe, The Upbeats, Noisia, Black Sun Empire, Break, Logistics, Irie Revoltés, Dubioza Kolektiv, Lucy Rose, hard to leave out some:D

I grew up on Good Charlotte, Eminem & Pendulum and used to love Hayley Williams from Paramore :D I like to party to 80s and 90s too, my music taste shifted a bit since that :D

For movies I like the classics from Fincher, Lynch, Kubrick, Tarantino, Gaspar Noe but I like to go to film festivals and see independent movies too. Love to go to open air cinemas in the summer.

As for books dont read as much as I want! but I am currently reading Kafka on the Shore from H.Murakami , my favourite would be Catch22, 1984 or some pieces from M. Kundera, or Stephen King's "It" too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Don't like the word amazing, I think "amazing" is to slow down and enjoy doing the little things right, enjoy the very moment and share it with others and by that I don't mean on instagram but live the moment. One thing which is amazing for me is how one can change his experience and life by simply deciding to do something different. For that reason I reckon everyone should try something new everyday, trying to put itself out of the comfort zone, learn and see what happens. I think with that in mind one can become a better person, rich in mind and experience things that it wouldn't. So I like to do things spontaneously, let things happen and enjoy the chain reactions. There are not bad moments out there, there are only missed opportunities. Feck that was deep

For that reason I like to try things like hitchhiking, buying cheap tickets to wherever, travel solo and also that's why I am on coachsurfing..

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have an apartment in Prague which I can share at times when I’m home and not traveling/ busy working, the situation is not ideal, since on top of everything I am still trying to finish my degree, so it might be difficult to host someone yet but when the stars align since next year the chances will be much higher but I can usually hang out anytime even for a little while or willing to share some tips, so don't be shy to ask.
