About Me
*** I quit my job in Prague and I'm staying in Saigon for a while.. looking for new friends. ***
Few tips about Prague
==================
Things to not do:
-- MONEY EXCHANGE - be aware many exchange offices in the city center or train station give you really bad exchange rate or charge you a fee around 20 - 30%. Always check with google how much you can get for your $$$
-- TAXI - do not take the taxi from the street (some of them are scammers and charge tourists 10x more), use Uber or some other app to get Taxi or call Tick Tack Taxi
-- Do not give money to fake monks
-- Do not buy old prague ham in the old town
Things to do:
-- Typical touristy places such as Prague castle and royal's garden, John Lennon wall, Charles bridge, Old town Square - you can just walk through these places within 3 hours
-- Go to Letna park and grab a beer in the beer garden
-- You can enjoy the sunset in Riegrovy Sady, also with a beer chiling on the grass with a perfect view
-- View from the city hall tower in the old town / or the tower on the Charle's bridge
-- Go outside of Prague to see Karlstejn castle and "lom Velka Amerika"
-- Get a "Plzeň" beer in Lokál in Dlouha street
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting people and this is the best chance to learn different things about other cultures. Plus I like staying with locals for free.
I offer my place for one or two people, preferably summer when we can hang out and do some fun stuff outside like visit festivals, "naplavka" or some beer garden etc.
Interests
I like traveling, hanging out with friends and as I mentioned sports. You will see a little atelier at home where I'm taking pictures and shooting economics videos for students :-)
What I enjoy the most is the fooood! I eat a lot and I like cooking so if you bring me a good recipe from your country and show me how to make it, that would be the best!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It is a long story, you can just read the end... When I got back from the Philippines I told a story to my friend about a woman, who invited me and my host who I traveled with for a coffee. We were just talking, chilling and it was getting dark. Kids cooked dinner inside a bamboo house, no electricity, just fire and candle lights. They wanted us to stay.. so we did. We had very tasty vegetable from their garden and rice :) This amazing MOTHER OF 11 KIDS apologized that she would have got some fish if she would have known that she will have guests! They did not have much but she was so kind, so generous!!
Anyway, me and my host went to the little shop in the village and bought bunch of food, drinks and lot of sweets for the kids. We actually spend almost all the money we had in our pockets that day so we were hitchhiking on the way back to Manila late around midnight. I can't tell who was more happy when we gave it to them! I was.
Back to the point, my friend told me: "Congratulations, THIS IS THE FIRST NICE THING YOU DID THIS YEAR!" it was end of the year :( december 2015)
I don't mind what he said, even if this was true everyone has to start somewhere.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can always share my food and workout routine.
I'm not a pro but maybe I can teach you some tricks in photoshop or premiere if you like to edit videos.
