Hello, my name is Tomas and I'm a 22 year old student going round and round the world in search of new learning experiences. I have just finished a year long scholarship in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, where I studided traditional music. Now I'm studying Digital Music in Southampton, England. As you have probably guessed, I love music, especially electronic but as long as it is interesting, I like it. I'm interested all of culture as well, not just music. Theatre shows, galleries, all that jazz is right down my alley. Other than that, I like to write and skate, but not at the same time. I enjoy having deep discussions about life and experience, joys and sorrows, good times and bad times, all of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To look for places to stay around the world with real people with real experiences from the country where they live in. I love to learn about different cultures and couchsurfing seemed like the perfect place for that. Hotels are not my thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic music, especially deep and dark D'n'B like Skeptical, Alix Perez, stuff like that. I love techno, dubstep and disco/house as well.
Movies: Hyperrealistic movies from the Czech new wave era are my favorites. What I find important in movies is the atmosphere, for them to be believable. Apart from that I have no preferences, though I particulary enjoy Woody Allen movies.
Books: Literally anything that makes your brain fly and heart flutter. Anything from dark dystopia to poetry about the truth. I enjoy classic novels and works from the Romantic era.
