ABOUT ME

I'm Tomas. I´m from Ghent, Belgium. I moved to Berlin, Germany almost 2 years ago now.

I like sports, motorbikes, having drinks with nice people and of course travelling. I like to surround myself with friendly open minded people who are down to earth.

When I visit a country, I don't want to spend all my time there sitting by a pool in a hotel. I usually like to travel without planning too much in advance because you never know which tips you get from locals that you can´t find online.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve hosted a few people when I was still living in Ghent and I had the extra space for it. It was fun helping fellow travellers out by showing them the secret places in my city. Now I live in berlin in a small flat and I don´t have any space to host unfortunatelly.

I´ve surfed once in Manchester myself together with a few friends and that ended up being a very fun experience too. Our host took us out with his friends and we met so many nice people that night!

I´d love to expand my couchsurfing experience a lot during my trip to California in September!

Music, Movies, and Books

60-70-80s rock, especially pink floyd and led zeppelin but I like almost all kinds of music.

I'm not the reading kind of guy but when someone would put a good book in my hands I'm sure I would enjoy it.
I guess I should make more time for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I´ve swam with dolphins in Tanzania which was a really special experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I host I would like to show you Gent and Flemish culture and I would teach you all about our great Belgian beers.

If I'm visiting , you can teach me anything :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know a lot about beerculture, being Belgian and an ex-bartender during my studies. So I could teach you about that. Besides that I could give you tips about what to do when visiting Gent or Berlin.
I´m also not a bad cook. If you host me I´d be more than happy to make you a nice meal for us to enjoy together!
