Overview
About Me
In constant struggle with my own laziness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When traveling, I wanna learn about regular lives of regular people.
No special needs when surfing, I sleep anywhere dry and safe. If it has a roof it's a 5 star hotel for me.
Interests
Too many, none of them profound enough.
- Dedicated, if somewhat perspectiveless student of philosophy and linguistics (actually I already have Master's, but you never really cease to be a student in this). That entails reading stuff I hardly understand, and writing stuff I don't understand at all.
- Dedicated, if completely perspectiveless blues harmonica player. For some reason, people have been willing to pay me for doing this. Get me to a nice jam session, and I will love you forever.
- I am the editor-in-chief of Literary and Arts zine in Antigua Guatemala called El Informe. I collect and publish writing and visual art from the local community with support from an independent publishing house.
- Live music, and live performance in general.
- Hanging out with crazy artists and scientists. I just like learning stuff.
- Hiking, running, camping, mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Jazz, Blues, Rock'n'Roll, Classical would be my personal picks. But I can appreciate just about anything as long as it's real. I've been a part time profesional musician for a while now. That means people pay me for recording tracks and playing gigs. I don't know why but I won't argue with them.
Books:
Classics. All of them.
Academic writting in my field of study.
As an editor-in-chief of a zine, I get to read a lot of stuff from aspiring writers. That's always fun.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd hate to fancy myself by saying I've done "amazing things". But I guess I've got a few stories to share. Been more-less able to blindly follow my crazy fancies despite the world telling me how hopeless it is at every turn.
Teach, Learn, Share
Anybody can learn from anybody by simple sharing of life experiences and knowledge of everyday survival.
Also, I am an English-as-second-language teacher by formal training, can show you some basics in blues music, introduce you to my academic field of study, and the culture of my country.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Traveling stories and experience
- Music! Take out your instrument and let's cook up a tasty jam! I carry my harps on me all the time. Also, it is very likely that if I stay in your town for a while, you'll have a chance to see me play a gig or two.
- As a humanities major I'm supposed to be a pro at constructive questioning of people's beliefs. It may just be your thing.
- I'll talk about art to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Not that I actually know anything about it.
