About Me

WHAT I LOVE

Biology and science, mainly zoology - that is my life passion, learning and trying new things, friendly, sociable and open-minded people, sleeping, traveling, making people happy, discovering myself.

PHILOSOPHY

If you want, you can. If you do not want, you find a reason.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been hosted, a lot. During my life and traveling I met plenty of wonderful people and all of them helped me, sometimes just with a nice smile, sometimes much more. CS is for me one of the ways how to forward this hospitality farther. I welcome all the chances to socialize with new people, to learn from new life stories and offer the mine as an award.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am just starting, so I do not have any CS experience yet. Feel free to contact me!

Interests

First of them are nature and wildlife animals, I do not regret any amount of energy to get to wilderness. Related to this are all the skills usually needed for getting to remote places, I like e. g. maps, hiking in mountains or scuba diving to reach marine life and birding as the wildlife animals easiest to spot are usually the birds. In the same time I consider myself as ecologically thinking person, during my trips I try to affect the environment as little as possible, therefore I prefer public transport or biking as transport modes, I do not like cars and planes when unnecessary. I am not good in sports, but I like swimming and capoeira as essential cleaning of mind from time to time. As the last, but not least, I have discovered improvisation theater as the best intellectual training for the key aspects of my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like classical music, the best definitely Mozart, that is never enough. Besides that I may listen some modern music, as well, but the style I like varies a lot, strongly depending on the situation and mood, I anyway do not like hip-hop, rap or anything like this. I do not see many movies, I prefer to live situations that watch them, if you ask me about some film, it is highly probable that I will not know what you are talking about. I love books, but hardly have time to read them. Mainly about nature and history, but feel free to suggest me whatever new, I will be happy to try. Concerning art, my favorites are Klimt and Schiele, from architecture I value mainly Art Nouveau style and in theater opera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I consider my life being based on amazing things, unfortunately I mostly do not remember them. Last time I met alpha-male wolf having the same size of foot as me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching of zoology at the university is part of my job, so if you want to know whatever about nature and wildlife in place and region where I live, I am the right person to contact. The same I can explain you about culture, history, local food and I can also share all I know about art or architecture, but these are not my number one, so I feel more limited. I will be excited to explain you some stories from my traveling and listen yours, introduce you to my friends etc. I am not a party person, so asking me about places to get drunk is just waste of time. I am used to arrange nature- or culture- minded trips basically wherever in the region and, according to my time and money options, join you as a guide. I will be excited to show you my special places and traveling outside classical touristic hotspots, however them I can show you, as well, if you insist.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As at the moment I live alone in small room, my possibilities to host are limited, I have place for not more than one person and you need to have your own sleeping bag and groundsheet. The more I will be happy to guide you and socialize, I am not a hotel just providing free accommodation. Also regarding food, as I live single, I often have a problem to gather enough small amounts of food, then do not manage to eat all and it can get bad. Hence, I will always welcome to share my food with you, I like basically everything, so do not hesitate to ask if you like anything particular.
