ABOUT ME

I am currently 23 years old law student who hopelessly tries to balance school, work and social life. However, when it comes to traveling, experiencing new things and meeting new people, everything can be put on hold.

Growing up in a family that does not particurarly enjoys exploring those hidden gems of other countries, we would only go to Croatia (typical summer destination for Czech people haha) and that was it. For me, traveling was spending 22 hours covered in sweat in a car. Naturally, I had no relationship to it whatsoever. Anyway, living in an instagram era, photoes from all around world literally took my breath away and that´s when I have realized there´ s more to see.

Once I found myself a part-time job I started saving for my upcoming trips and that was the best decision I have ever made!

I guess I properly used Couchsurfing for the first when I was backpacking Italy + Sicily with my girlfriend. We would stay at fellow-couchsurfers houses who would show us around and share with so much more than you could possibly read in the internet. We seriously fell for it. It really has been the most amazing vacation so far and that is thanks to Couchsurfing.

As part of my studies, I have spent 5 months in Germany taking part in an international exchange program. Honestly, God bless EU. By far the most amazing experience. Having the opportunity to meet people literally from all over the world gave me a possibility to travel basically anywhere and always have someone I may turn to if needed. It was 27 nationalities ranging from New Zealand to Asia and America put into one class. Simply a perfect place to see the internaction between people from different backgrounds.

It is true that part of this community has changed into some sort of a dating site but I do believe there are still people with good manners out there whose aim is just to meet international people and share with them a part of your life.

Definitely travelling as mentioned. I am a big fan of sports either- football, basketball, hockey, athletics, working out, cycling, skiing, snowboarding, hiking and way more. I am sort of a Marvel geek so basically all their movies haha.
