Overview
About Me
Me, Tomasz, and my girlfriend, Talia, are an international couple (Poland, US) exploring the world and trying to learn something about life with each new experience we encounter. I am a civil engineer interested in natural, sustainable construction and Talia is a music therapist and music teacher practicing all across the United States and Latin America. After living in Panama for a year, and then backpacking around South America for 7 months, we have decided to settle down for awhile in London. We would love to share our interests and passions with you. We are always open to learn, teach, help, discuss, build, play and sing! Looking forward to meet you :)
PHILOSOPHY:
Travelling is not about seing new sights, but about looking with new eyes.
//
Life is too important to be taken seriously

Remember that someone's smile is the most precious prize.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been on Couchsurfing since 2010. I have always found the idea to be awesome! I first hosted travelers in Warsaw, Poland. A special memory that I have from that period is when 3 guys from Lithuania stayed at my place and after two days we have spontaneously decided to hitchhike together 650km to the Woodstock Festival in Poland. It was a great adventure that I'll never forget.
I hosted travelers when I lived in Lyon, France and in Slavonsky Brod, Croatia.
I slowed down a bit when moved to Paris, because I shared a 12 square-meter room with another student. We still managed to host some travelers that couldn't find a couch elsewhere.
While living in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, the company that I worked for provided a big house for the young engineers working on the project. Unfortunately, one of my roommates was too uptight to grasp the idea of hosting strangers.
In Panama the situation was similar, but we still managed to host some travelers there. After nine months of working here, I made the decision to leave this company and surround myself with more positive and open-minded people.
I was hosted in many places too and it was always an amazing experience. I enjoyed the hospitality of CSers in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Croaria, Hungary, and the UK. The best experience I had was being hosted in Trogir, Croatia, where Marijana opened her house to a group of 15 travelers, and we recycled food, cooked together, played music and enjoyed life at almost no cost!
Interests
We are both into yoga, hiking, nature, snorkeling, live music and all kinds of high energy activities. I am a passionate rock climber with a 13 year experience and will say 'yes' to literally every climbing opportunity throughout our travels. I like slackline and surfing and would love to get more into it. Talia loves latin dance (merengue, bachata, salsa) and playing music (singing, playing guitar, percussion and/or ukulele). We both like languages a lot and can teach spanish, english, french and polish. We have learned basics of acroyoga and want to explore it more.
I was into graphic arts for many years but got driven away from it by my job and studies. Now I am looking forward to get back to it (photograhy, drawing) during our travels.
