About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover my boundaries and than to cross them

ABOUT ME

Not an easy question ;) I guess some would say that while I'm travelling I am funny, sometimes even too crazy, however in the regular dayp-to-day life I am serious and a true realist. Usually I am really responsible, nevertheless sometimes it happens that I do sth completely reckless. To some extent it could be said that I was born in the wrong epoque cause I disapprove omnipresent materialism in the world (even though I've spent half of my adult life working for big financial corporations). While travelling I especially love meeting people, It's the most valuable experience for me (well, it is said that travelling broadens the mind and widens the horizons)

PHILOSOPHY

It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no telling where you might be swept off to.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life

Be the change you want to see in the world - Mahatma Gandhi

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far only positive :-) I travel from time to time, sometimes I host (not that often, but I am open to last-minute requests). I am not that active but I have some amazing memories related to couchsurfing

Interests

Apart from travelling, I love learning languages, reading (especially fantasy and historical books) and dancing (I have taken classes of ballroom dancing, salsa, bachata ukulele). I am learning how to play ukulele. Few years agp I sailed on a boat for the very first time in my life and I have a feeling it's not last ;) I am a member of Toastmasters International society, To sum up briefly - show or tell me anything interesting and you will catch my attention

Paragliding in Georgian mountains - at this time I was both scared to death and completely hangovered but it was awesome :-) Attending a traditional wedding also in Georgia.
Being interrogated about my attitude towards communism on a metro station in Uzbekistan
Visiting marvellous Orthodox temple complexes in Romania
Conquering Moldoveanu - the highest peak of Romania
A dawn on the top of Tarnica peak in Bieszczady Mountains.
Playing on the stage of the real theatre in Boleradice, Czech Republic
Riding on a back of a camel in Morocco
Swimming in the ocean.
Sleeping on the stairs before the entrance on St Peter's square in Rome and explaining to Swiss guard that I am still and Italy and an hour later convincing Italian carabinieri that I am in Vatican :-)
Finishing the hitchhiking race from Northern Poland to Southern Slovenia in 52 hours. In 2017 I tried again and hitchhiked all the way from Sopot to Barcelona in 49 hours placing 6th out of 84 teams participating in the race
