The Universe led me to Sydney, Australia. I live here for 6 years now. I live in a nice, cosy house with a garden and enjoy day to day life. I like my individualism which often crystallize in a form of me immersing in books for a few days in a row. However as every individual feels (and hardy admits) I sometimes miss company of other people. So if you are adventure-thirsty traveler or contemplating yoga practitioner (or a mix in any proportion) just shoot me a message, you might find my place enjoyable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I currently live in Northern Beaches which is North East part of Sydney Metropolitan Area. I was fed up with noisy centre, so after a year or so I've moved up the north to more bushy and quiet area (and beaches here are the best !). If you want some quiet place not in the direct centre - that is probably one of the best locations you can get (10min walk + 25min bus ride to direct centre, around 10min by bus to closest super-sandy beach). My couch (or maybe even room) would be available from the mid June 2019 to the end of August 2019. That's of course if you and Arnold (see the photos) will get along :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

BAD CS EXP

Yes, it happened to us all sadly... Now, you might wonder, "Why this guy has less than 50% response rate?"
The answer is simple: Back in 2015 I was very enthusiastic about hosting new people. I had a nice apartment, lots of free time and wanted to meet new people. One day I got request from a French (Now, this is not a rule. I have many good French friends) girl - approx 30 yo. Description seemed legit, request seemed legit, photo showed actual face, not some kitten clip art - what could go wrong? Well I didn't or did not want to notice lack of references. She contacted me if I can pick her up from the station some early evening. Hmm... well I don't do that, but wasn't that far away and I thought, why not do something extra for an adventurer. I picked her up, drove to my place. She chucked suitcase into the room and proclaimed herself HUNGRY - I can make you a pizza - I said. She responded - Sure, thanks. So of I go, bit this and that, 20min passed and steaming pizza off the oven. She ate, drank and said that she is off to meet her friend and MAYBE she will be back 2am or later... I said that it's cool, but I can't be tied up to the apartment (since I didn't give her a key for one night) 24h because you want to party all night. She said she'll drop me a text. She left. I got text around 1am that actually she will sleep over with a friend. I asked when she plans to go back to get her stuff as I have errands to do (Note, that couch request was only for one night), she said maybe 7am. Eventually she came around 13:00. THE END. Conclusion: Sometimes I don't bother.

Interests

American Football (Polish League). I used to play a little in "Panthers Wroclaw", currently I watch their games when new season starts. I used to get out and meet people, but nowadays if I go I go with Arnold, whether it's a beach or a nice walk and seldom is a city. Which is even better - unlimited fresh air and sea breeze.
