Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host people again. I really like to show my guests interesting places in Warsaw and to tell them a lot about the city's interesting history. So, if You like sightseeing and stories about the past I'd love to tell You many of them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing gave me the opportunity to meet the most inspiring people in places I visited. All my hosts and Couch Surfers were extremely kind and interesting. I haven't had any bad experiences during my travels or while I was a host and I am pretty sure that it won't change in the future.

Interests

Traveling is for me one of the most exciting form of spending holidays and free time. Journeys are the best time to reset my mind, change the environment, forget the daily routine and enjoy the free time while meeting new people and having interesting conversations. Travelling teaches me how to keep my balance, what's important and what isn't as necessarily worth my effort as it sometimes looks like.

I like to learn different points of view from people who live in other, especially eastern countries.
I was also a clarinet player in Folklore Ensamble of Warsaw University of Technology. I used to play Polish folklore music for about ten years with different groups across Poland. I took part in interesting folklore festivals in many European countries. It was for me a really great experience and a possibility to meet a lot of wonderful people. I think that every country should appreciate its own tradition.

Here in Poland I am deeply interested in modern history, especially political issues linked with history, sociology, law, philosophy, journalism etc. (metapolitics). It doesn't mean that I'm political activist. Of course, I have my preferences, but I'm not involved in the activities of any political party. I trace the current political situation very carefully and try to meet and discuss with important political figures.
