I come from Coimbra (Portugal), but my home is and will always be Lisboa, where I lived, studied, partied, fell in and out of love, and experienced all things sublime for 8 amazing years.

I am currently in Bilbao enjoying the Basque hospitality & pintxos while doing my PhD, i.e. 4 more years of studying, partying, falling in and out of love, and experiencing all things sublime.

Roadtrips around Italy and Scotland are high on the waiting list.

My favourite film is and will always be Clockwork Orange. Lately I've been listening to Lucio Battisti, Angela Olsen, Lauryn Hill and Édith Piaf. Regarding books, I especially like Gabriel García Márquez, Saramago, Dostoievsky, Paul Auster, Bukowski, Henry Miller and António Lobo Antunes. Just finished Memórias de Salazar and Sostiene Pereira and am now rereading El otoño del patriarca.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cage diving among white sharks in False Bay (South Africa). Such marvellous creatures! If you have the opportunity, do it!
