About Me

I have had some bad experience in couchsurfing.

Two guys have come in 2017. The guy from Puerto Rico and Spain.

Alvaro de Arco and Diego Acosta. Especially Alvaro de arco is very authoritive. He behaves like he is the owner at my place. These two have asked me to give some drinks and food. I am not their servant.

Especially the guy from Puerto Rico and Spain were the most disgusting ones. These two walk outside on barefoot. They were asking all the time some drinks and foods.

Basic rules to be followed at my place
: never sleep with nothing on
: take a shower before going to sleep at night
: please keep yourself clean.

And there is one more thing. My place has a steep stairs,so if you travel with kids , please don’t send me any requests to stay coz there is no guarantee for the safety. I don’t want to see any kids fall from the second floor. Please understand.

I am not a VEGETARIAN nor VEGAN.
So if you are a vegan, it is better to find some other hosts coz I eat meats and fishes as well.
And if you are a vegetarian, but eat the marine products such as fish or shell fish, that is ok with me. But It is difficult to host a vegan. I respect and understand the concept of a VEGAN, but that is not me.

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I am a Japanese male who has even living and working in Osaka Japan. I used to study and live and work in Canada. Now I am back in here and working as a tour guide. In terms of the foreign languages , I have studied English ,Spanish as well. Before I studied ancient Greek, but I forgot most of it.

According to my family tree. My family name is related to Musahi Miyamoto. Because his mother maiden name is Toyofuku. The village where my folks are now is famous for this musashi. This is something I did not know very well.

My place is very small ,but I hope you can sleep well.

Interests

Watching the movies , learning the foreign languages. The weight training

To make crane origami.

To take some lessons of Capoeira

Music, Movies, and Books

Latin music. Pop music, spy game (Robert Redford), The negotiator, avatar, one fine day, double jeopardy,

The music I like is pop music. Personally I do love Sara Mclachlan. Actually when I was in Vancouver,B.C. Canada, I have heard that she was living in Kitlano area and whenever I had a free time, I was walking around there, expecting that I could bump into her on a street, but the truth was that she was living in Los Angeles at that time. And now she has been living in Vancouver again. I have to pay a visit to Vancouver without a doubt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was living with 6 Mexicans when I was in Vancouver,BC. Canada. It was in 1995-1998.

My Spanish is a Mexican one.

Estuve viviendo con los mexicanos en Vancouver por tres años. Fue divertido montón.
Los mexicanos me han cambiado mi mentalidad totalmente. Me encanta. Y también me han enseñado mala palabras.

All the time they have told me many bad words as well as good words.
ademas me dice " Ojos de alcancía". Primera no entiendo estás palabras , luego entiendo. Pues japonés tiene ojos de alcancía. Jejeje.

The most funny thing was that they had told me " bano para cabron". At the beginning they had told me that that means " Gentlemen room". But the correct Spanish is " bano para caballero. But I was told that Bano para cabron as Gentlemen room. And one day I walked into one bar whose owner is from Latin America in Vancouver. I have triumphantly said that " Podria usar bano para Cabron?". Everybody there were looking at me. And I was told that there is no bano para cabron. I really wanted to take a leak. After that my friends had come and told me. That should be Bano para caballero. Mamma Mia, so that was a big incident coz I was holding such a long time after I had some beer.

Yo me llamo Shinya Toyofuku. Soy japonés y vivo y trabajo en Osaka. Hace 27 años he ido a Vancouver Cañada para estudiar inglés y turismo allí. Antes he hospedado 5 juntos y ya demasiado. Entonces máximo 2 personas. Bueno espero que se gustaran mi casa. Saludos.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local info regarding saving some money which is the discount so on. I used to be the tour escorts in Japan. So I know some info about Japan. So you can ask me. But I do not have all the answers to tell you the truth, but can look into that right off the bat.

My place is a bit complicated ,but when you get to the station called "Settu Tonda "in JR line or " Tonda" station in Hankyu line, Please let me know and I will pick you up at the station.

Normally I would pick you up,so if you come to the JR Settu Tonda, please come down stairs. There are two stairs. Left one and right one. And I would like you to come down stairs from the one close to Seven Eleven. There is a bus stop. And please walk toward the place called " pachinko ". And please keep walking by looking at JR trail on your left hand side and pachinko the other. And you will find the Seven Eleven on your right hand side. Please wait for me there.
