ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Tom. I'm a musician, writer, artist, poet, and human being. I'm well traveled, laid back, trustworthy, and grateful. I am a fairly low maintenance person I'd say. I am always reinventing myself, and always working to dissolve the parts of myself that no longer serve me.
I believe part of my mission is to impact the world at large, in some massively positive and healing way.... though I'm not sure exactly how that will unfold, perhaps it already is....
I also have a strange sense of humor.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This site has been absolutely essential in my travels and things wouldn't have happened quite the same without it. I am so grateful to all the incredible and giving people I have met along the way. I have not yet been in a position to host anyone through this website.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have had one guy come and stay with me who ended up being a really good friend who helped me out significantly, and another was an interesting lady friend of a friend from New Zealand who was quite a delight. Neither of these folks came from this website, but they were people I didn't know initially,and they were great. On my first experience being a guest, also met a great guy in Phoenix through this website named Apollo Poetry, who was a great host.
Since then, I have met some incredible people all over California and Oregon who have completely blown my mind with how kind and welcoming they can be.

Interessi

I think I'm pretty normal for how weird I am.
I am interested in whatever mystical, metaphysical,spiritual and occult wisdom that resonates with me. I like any form alternative, bizzarre and paranormal information. It's fun to play with belief, while keeping it fluid, and not rigid. I am quite down to earth, and I am always sure to make practical use of what knowledge I gain, as well as share it. I would say the most practical lesson one can apply is that of forgiveness. Radical ridiculous forgiveness. I also have a ridiculous sense of humor.....
My focuses at the moment are music, and healing work. I am a Reconnective Healing practitioner. Reconnective Healing could be classified under "energy healing", but it is so much more than that, and is REAL. There is also a ridiculous amount of science behind it showing that it changes DNA, and produces measurable effects.

I play guitar and sing and have an unusual stage presence that defies genre. Hard to describe..... I guess like Tool meets Tenacious D, with a psychedelic poppy twist? Though totally different from that? An absurd mix of absurd humor and spiritual depth.... depending on the song. I also have some poetry and I'm quite a wise ass on stage.

I have a serious passion for classic NES, SNES , and Genesis games, as well as listening to people talk about them on Youtube.

I witnessed it rain frogs when I was a child in Tennessee. Seriously. It actually happens. Look it up.
Also, once in New Zealand, I fell down a waterfall, then got bitten by and eel on the foot right after I landed. HAH! I worked at a Haunted Corn Maze in New Zealand as well which was a blast. And Ive been to Burning Man 8 times..... that was pretty cool.
If I told you the REALLY amazing stuff, I'd sound like too much of a weirdo I think so I'll leave that for when we meet in person. HAH!

I also have just about any classic NES, SNES, Sega, and Atari game on my laptop, with a controller for when the urge for classic gaming arises.

I currently have some of that green stuff that people like, that I am more than willing to give as gifts! I don't really use it much myself, but it is nice to use for bartering. It resides in my car, and I do not bring it into people's houses unless asked.
