About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore, see sights, meet new people, have FUN, find myself.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy doing and seeing new things, building up my experiences.
When I travel I like changing scenery and surroundings all the time, being able to camp in forests to staying in hostels, to sleeping in a squat to staying with a great host and playing video games (Guitar Hero - YES!). These kind of extreme changes you can not get anywhere else except for travelling and I feel very lucky I am able to experience it.
When I am comfortable with people I meet I can be very talkative and open, otherwise I might need a little bit of a push :p
At one point when I was much younger and very naive I thought I had done everything I wanted to do, then I turned a corner and realised I had been living in just 1 tree when I have an entire forest around me, every since I have been learning and sharing :D
I try and be as honest as I can, I hate lying (although exaggeration can turn nothing into exciting stories some times!)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short to have regrets.
I'm still a human, I still have feelings.
Don't become a robot for society, do things that you want to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a few people, I surf a lot on my travels and try to attend meetings and parties of CS when I am in the area or hear about them!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed at quite a few peoples couches recently and love meeting people in their lovely homes and sharing time together.
I have also been to quite a few CS gatherings and meetings, these have given me some amazing experiences and friendships, my trip wouldn't be the same without the people I have met here.

Interests

I like lots of extreme sports; climbing, caving, biking, scuba diving, mountaineering.
I enjoy photography, walking, watching films, music, gaming, hanging out with friends, going to the pub and sometimes writing.
When I have time I am also trying to improve my 'circus-skills' - mainly Diablo and sometimes juggling.
Most importantly I love travelling and meeting local people and other travellers!

Music, Movies, and Books

all kinds of music in any location! Mainly I listen to rock (with a particular interest in female vocalists) check my http://www.last.fm/user/mexem for what I have listened to over the past few years.

any films except horror (im terrible at scary things :<). I particularly love Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pulp Fiction, American History X, Saving Private Ryan, A Beautiful Mind, Dogma, Taxi and many many more.

For books I quite like historic novels (stuff about ancient greece/rome/alexander the great/etc etc). The last great book I read was called 'Ordinary Thunderstorms', it is an amazing novel of how an ordinary, highly-respected scientist suddenly has to abandon everything and live 'underground' in modern day London, it tells of all his experiences, chances and new friendships while living out his new, secret identity.

I also love some TV shows like Dexter, Veronica Mars, True Blood, Deadliest Catch, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blue Mountain State, and some anime when I am in the mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a dive in The Bahamas where we fed sharks and had them swim in between us, scary but incredible.I also feel I have to mention I went to a psychadelic trance party in the industrial area of Amsterdam...that was definitely an experience

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you anything I have already learnt from outdoor activities and sports to speaking English. I have been told I am very good at 'orientating' myself in new places without getting lost, so maybe I can help you with tips on how to do this.I would like to get better at diablo and juggling.I really want to learn German, after visiting the country and falling in love with it, this is my current mission.
