About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life... In progress.

ABOUT ME

I live and work in Moscow, Russia. I moved here in April 2012 to teach English as a foreign language and I've a great time here so far. Good things about living in Moscow- lots of energy, things to do, people to speak with and adventures to have. Bad things- well, I suppose the winter lasted quite a long time, and it can be a bit dusty, but thats about it for bad things.

PHILOSOPHY

If i was going to create a catchy and short tagline to describe my outlook it would be; Live, listen, see, learn, think, share. Overall I love meeting people and going on adventures, and hope I'm constantly learning about both myself and the world.

Interests

I love running, particularly in the countryside, though in Moscow this isn't easy as there is no real countryside. As well as this I like hill walking, rugby, and seeing live music. I'm a 100% self confessed automotive geek and love all fast cars, especially Porsches and Renaults. Finding out information about things and places is another interest of mine, so I try to go to as many museums and historical places as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

For music, my favorite bands/musicians/artists are TOOL, Radiohead, King Crimson, Nirvana, Cannibal Corpse and Ralph Vaughan Williams. I find myself constantly reading, and read pretty much anything, though I really enjoy historical novels. I enjoy the cinema and watching movies but I don't really watch TV and think I could happily live without one.

Teach, Learn, Share

Perhaps because of my love of discovering things and asking questions, and maybe because I also studied history at university, I seem to have a whole lot of random and mostly useless facts about things stored away in my head that serves no real purpose. So perhaps and can share something of use.
