ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in Ohio, traveled around for many years, and now live in Los Angeles, California.

I've played guitar and sang for years, and it used to be what paid my bills. Now I am the Director of Marketing at a pro audio retail company. I also write as much as possible. I have published two books :)

I love to be outdoors, whether it be camping, hiking, kayaking, anything really. I'm a very conversational person and I love to meet new people. I'll be glad to play you some tunes and have some great conversation if we're couchsurfing, either on your couch or mine!

Anyone is welcome on my couch as long as I'm not out seeing the world myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a wonderful time surfing couches through Europe, Australia, South America, and New Zealand and now I'm back home and ready to help other travelers.

Play guitar and ukulele, sing, anything outdoors! I also like to cook, write, sit by a campfire, and swap stories. I've published a few books now, a couple of them about traveling! One called Planes, Trains, & Broken Strings: The Laughable but True Story of an Impoverished Indie-Musician Traveling the World and the newest book called Two Bucks to Timbuktu: The Ultimate Guide to Extraordinary Adventures Around the World with an Ordinary Bank Account. Hitchhiking through Europe was probably the most humbling experience of my life. It never ceases to amaze me how generous people can be, even strangers! :)
