About Me

Hi, I am 26 years old from Poland. I went for student exchange to Scotland in 2017 and liked the country so much that I've decided to stay a bit longer working and studying. As I started to like Scottish whisky too much:) I have decided to head for new adventure. So I quit my job in January, packed all my stuff in a backpack and came to a small village in Ghana where I am currently volunteering by teaching different subjects like math, English and computer science in local schools. I am planning to stay here until April and then continue my journey until I go back home when I am too broke to travel any further. Enjoy Africa a lot and I am amazed how different life and people are here. So much to learn every day and all I can do is to try to grasp at least a small part of it while I can. Really open-minded and don't need much in terms of accommodation or food. As you can imagine volunteers in Ghana are not necessarily offered 5 star hotels:). Would love to see some parts of Togo and Benin while I am still in Ghana.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately never tried CS before as I've never had my own flat to share but Africa seems like a perfect place to start as a guest. Even though some people compared it to catalogue for kidnappers (thanks Mom for your unconditional support😀).

Interests

Love discussing politics, economy, history, religion and other boring stuff:)
Love any kinds of games be it cards, board games, sports or anything with a bit of rules to it
I have to admit, I am a bit of a nerd as I have studied Maths and Computer Science and really enjoyed it.
Artistically handicapped - pains me a lot but at least I am honest about it:)
Kinda anything really as I am still trying to figure out the ultimate and most optimal way of living - I warned I am a bit nerdy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Short stories (The thing around your neck), travel reporting (Kapuscinski), popular science (Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind), Witcher (as I am Polish)
Love music but find it kinda intimate like religion so hard to really discuss.
Movies - quite a lot but mostly some less popular ones like Locke or The Hunt (Danish)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, some people find it strange that I am 26 and I managed to pack all my stuff in a single backpack (most of it was medicine and lots of sunscreen anyway) but I guess you can look at it as either depressing or a step towards achieving nirvana.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hmm, I guess the only true answer is myself no matter how weird it sounds. Well after all it is all about the truth😀
