My name is Tomer (I also go by "Tom" which is easier), currently living and working in Tel Aviv. While engineering is my profession, traveling is my passion. I believe discovering places, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures is a way to develop and mature as a person. This is why I am on CS.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe personal encounters make all the difference when travelling. I wish to meet people and share experiences with them. I also think this is the best way to really get to know the true culture and nature of a place.

Interests

My biggest hobby is photography, which for me is also a source for motivation to travel and find beautiful places.
When abroad I take great interest in local culture, and especially local food. I am an adventurous eater who is always happy to try something new.
I love hiking, and also scuba-diving and windsurfing where possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: lots! Blues, jazz, rock, country, electronic.. I really like street performers.
Books: almost anything, from fantasy through fiction novels all the way to writings on history or philosophy. I never travel without my Kindle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw the fog clear to reveal the "Sea of Clouds" at the Yellow Mountain in China. Beautiful!
I actually lived in China for 4 years when i was younger and that was all a tremendous experience!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am clean, easygoing, and friendly. I like to cook so I can happily cook or at least help around the kitchen.
