About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Come and stay at an awesome apartment in the dead center of Tel-Aviv (by Dizingoff), and just a 5 minute walk from Gordon Beach.

I am always very selfishly looking to meet cool and interesting fellow travelers who would like to broaden their horizons together with me. I'm a big foodie, so if you're looking for good eats...

I'm not travelling currently, but so gracious for all those who hosted me during my "previous mission" (see below). Living in beautiful Tel-Aviv, and would love to host all those travelling here whatever their mission may be.

PREVIOUS MISSION (2015)

I quit my Engineering job to explore the world, meet fascinating people and new cultures, discover unfamiliar flavours, experience new sounds, and hope to do some amazing travel photography while at it. On this journey that I'm on, I'd like to discover more about myself as well as this place in which we live in.

ABOUT ME

I'm 31, been working as an Engineer in the Robotics and Automation field, love photography, food, and good music. I am really easy going and a curious human being! I like to learn about new things all the time ! self improvements and random facts always fascinate me.

I love live music, addicted to coffee, obsessed with good authentic food, live by the blues, and strongly believe that if it ain't got chocolate in it it's no real desert. Other things to live by: Guinness, spontaneity, more coffee, skiing/snowboarding, travel breaks, good movies but not superhero ones, and cookie dough.

Spent some time in Canada, spent some time in Israel. I speak English fluently, and can certainly try to help my hosts learn.

PHILOSOPHY

Just do it - yesterday you said tomorrow.
Better ask forgiveness after, then permission before.
When lost in a new city, go to an Irish pub. Only good can come out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is an incredible platform allowing us individuals who want to stay away from the corrupted touristic industry, to still connect purely and help one another truly enjoy a real authentic experience in whatever country it may be. I host myself in Tel-Aviv, and had the chance to meet incredible surfers who were very much like me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music's always first:

Doors / Allman Brothers Band / Groundation/ Angus & Julia Stone Clapton / The Band/ Santana / Arcade Fire / Blur / Dire Straits/ Daft Punk / T-Bone Walker / Thievery Corporation / KOL / Thin Lizzy / Air / Animals / Zeppelin / Buddy Guy / Cat Empire / CSNY / Hendrix / Mazzy Star / SRV / Neil Young / RHCP / The Police/ Stones / The National / Cake / Black Keys / Black Seeds .... Electronic too is a pretty big deal, despite all theses classics

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed an active volcano in Chile!
Road a heavy motorcycle through the higheset motorable mountain pass in the world (5600m - Kardong La - India) during a snow/hail storm - with no motorbike experience!
Ate a Belgian waffel in Belgium, French Fries in France, Wiener Schnitzel in Vienna, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will gladly teach some Photography techniques and composition to my hosts, as I've instructed numerous groups throughout my trip.
I also speak fluent English since I grew up in Canada, so English for sure. w

I am always looking to learn more about authentic cooking, as well as some guitar (I am traveling with one but still can't play much :(
