ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Tom, I'm from New Zealand, and I love traveling!
My philosophy is to experience new places, new people, new food and culture, and new waves. I enjoy a challenge, and always try to be kind and keep an open mind. I'm a chef - so if you host me, I'll be happy to cook for you and your housemates in return.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life the way I want to. I take every day as it comes, no expectations, no regrets. I try not to compare myself to others. My happiness comes from surfing waves and staying healthy, meeting like-minded people, being creative, and enjoying the simple things in life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm really keen to meet new people - wherever I am, and whatever I'm doing! If I'm living in a city, please feel free to get in touch to hang out, or stay with me for a night or two. If I'm on the road - I want to meet people who can show me something about their country, share some laughs, and I'm always keen to surf some waves! I have a good grasp of the English language, so if you'd like some practice, I'm happy to help.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only used couch surfing a couple of times, once in Mexico and once in San Diego - had an awesome experience both times. I'd like to use it more on my next travel adventures through USA, Central America, and Europe.

Música, películas y libros

I don't really know where to start with this part - I'm a huge fan of cinema, I watch anything from mainstream hollywood crap to obscure art house films. Books, well I studied English Literature, I always have a novel on the go. Music - as long as it is good quality, I will listen to almost any genre of music, I have a really eclectic taste. I love watching live gigs at the pub, rather than visiting huge music festivals.

Spending months camped out on the beach in places like Indonesia, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, surfing amazing waves, eating great food, and hanging out with friendly, interesting, people.
